"what do you wanna be when you grow up?"

Ok, so who hasn't heard this question. My first answer to it was 'artist' but really? The world is such a huge thing, such a vast and crazy thing. And now someone who knows this has the balls to ask you? My issue with this remark is that no one dreams of being a cog in a machine.
It is un-settling to note that so few people are ever remembered for what they do. And so we are back to the question what do you wanna be. The answer for most people is 'remembered' I believe that there are so many people out their all looking to be seen that no one is standing out.

It's depressing to think like that, however I don't see it changing. Maybe I am in a poor mood, I am sure normally I would see these odds as a 'challenge'. Maybe I am just to focused on the time that's slipping by. Sorry this doesn't end on a high note.
